Thumb tacks

I was thinking about thumbtacks that are small x shaped instead of nail shaped.  when pressure is applied the thumbtack with the added support due to this design would not bend in the middle as a lot of cheap thumbtacks tend to do.  this would leave a small x in the wall but would be made up of small strips of metal much like a razor blade.
